There may have been a time when the electoral college was needed to simplify the voting process. However, modern technologies render them obsolete. Voter's interests are no longer truly represented within our current form of electoral process. I propose that legislation be studied and enacting abolishing the electoral college in favor of a simple majority vote for all elections. This will ensure that the candidate with the majority of the popular vote would attain office.
