The Electoral College is an antiquated system designed during a time when our nation's method of long distance communication consisted of a man on a horse with a document riding from one place to another. Back then the electoral college was a good idea.
Today we have access to astounding technology that allows us to instantly know the results of an election from any part of our nation.
The Electoral College does not accurately reflect the voice of the people. In an election, once the balance of Electoral votes tips in favor of a candidate, the election is pretty much over, and people who haven't voted yet (West coast, AK, HI) decide not to vote at all because it won't change anything at that point.
Abolish the Electoral College so that EVERY vote actually counts.
