Abolish the Electoral College

The Electoral College should be abolished because it is unfair and not in the best interest of the people. In 7% of the presidential elections, the winner of the popular vote lost the presidency. The electoral system is unfair because it grants voters in smaller states more power than voters in larger ones (Wyoming voters have 4x the influence of California voters!) Abolishing the Electoral College also solves the issue of U.S. Territories not being represented in elections, as well as lowering the chance of a tie/non-majority. The Electoral College ignores the majority of states, prompting candidates to campaign in swing states.
