The electoral college is yet another layer of bureaucracy that sometimes prevents the proper presidential candidate from being chosen. The Electoral College was originally created at the birth of our country to prevent the public from making a terrible decision, but now that the public has become much more educated, it is time to get rid of an outdated part of our government.
