Abolish the Electoral College and grant true voting rights, power and authority directly to the voters.

The Electoral College was adopted when:
-The nation was composed of 13 States suspicious of central national government
-Population was 4,000,000 people, barely connected so that national campaigns were impractical. Without sufficient information, in direct elections people would always vote for their local "favorite son."
-Founders rejected political parties as mischievous
-The Framers felt that gentlemen should not campaign for public office -- "The office should seek the man. The man should not seek the office."
The Electoral College was designed to work without political parties and without national campaigns or communications, while maintaining the balances and satisfying the fears in play at the time.
Today, it is anachronistic and should be replaced with direct vote by the Citizens.
