The primary purpose of the abolishment of the electoral college is for the American people to have fair and balanced elections. By using the popular vote to determine our next political leaders all American votes will count. For too long, a hand full of states have overshadowed the overwhelming majority of all American states. For example, Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio, and Virginia have shown to be ground zero for voter disenfranchisement because of the power they willed in determining our President and the direction of our county. It is time that all voters of all the corners of our country be counted.
