Every vote should count as a vote. Right now with the electoral college it is a winner take all system in most states. If a candidate gets 50.2 % of the vote they get all the electoral votes. A new system should be created where it's split and so many votes equal so many electoral votes and a new number to reach the presidency. If we are going to do a winner take all system then the winner of the popular vote should be the President Elect. The system is outdated and was morphed from the founders into a system based on slavery and hasn't changed in over 100 years. It's time to change it. One vote is one vote.
