Time and time again this matter has been discussed and complained about but nothing has changed. If we rely on the electoral vote to decide then why do we use the popular vote system also. The saying "...the people have spoken...." is not the case here. Look at the presidential election of 2000. We have seen that the electoral vote does NOT reflect the opinion of the popular vote. Since this is the case it needs to be abolished, for simplicity, fairness and most importantly, to truly reflect our right to vote.
