Abolish the "electoral college" and use the "popular vote" as the sole decider of who wins the general election.

To begin, the "electoral college" is outdated. After the Constitution was written, voters had few ways to learn about the presidential candidates. Thus, the job of choosing the President was given to the Electoral College (although it's not specifically mentioned in the Constitution). Today, however, this is simply not true. In the age of digital technology, you could learn about every candidate with the touch of a button, considering they have large presences on various platforms, in an attempt to reach out to as many voters as possible. The "electoral college" is also a "winner take all" in nearly every state, meaning those who disagree with the majority aren't represented. And, as seen in Bush v. Gore, the President can be elected without even earning the most votes ("popular vote").
