The Electoral College is a convoluted, and undemocratic, way to elect the President of the United States. It is antiquated and unfair, and allows a small minority of states to have overwhelming ability to influence the vote for president, regardless of popular vote. Due to the current Electoral College system the votes of many Americans don't matter because the majority of a state determines which candidate receives all of the state's Electoral votes. In other states with fewer Electoral votes the citizens mean even less because the candidates ignore these states completely to focus on states with more votes.
Switching to election by popular vote would ensure that every American's vote counted, and would guarantee every election that the people's choice for president would be elected.
