Abolish The Electoral College Via Constitutional Amendment.

Created by R.D. on December 12, 2012

The Constitution allows for amendments to shape the country's rights of the people as a country, used to correct the social injustices that occur due to ambiguity, (slavery and voting rights).

The electoral college is in direct conflict with the idea that this is a govt. by the people, for the people, as its original intent was to make sure that only educated, white men had a vote. Districting is done strategically to obtain particular votes that unfairly represent the general population as a whole. Media coverage of districts often keeps voters home as obvious their votes will not count.

Proposed language: Congress shall not impose a representative voters for the people. Each U.S. citizen shall have an equal vote in federal office elections with their districts.
