For the fifth time in our nation's history, and the second time in the last 16 years, our country has elected a President who did not receive the most votes due to the antiquated Electoral College. Instead of choosing 538 people to choose our leader, we need to adopt a truly democratic system and choose our President based on the popular vote. This way, candidates will spend time appealing to every voter instead of just those in swing states, and our voice will actually be heard.
