The electoral college is an outdated system that has shown itself to be undemocratic in properly representing the people five times throughout history, including the 2016 presidential race. This system was created in a time where the public could not have known all the candidates and voted backed by knowledge, but thanks to the advancements in technology since the Constitution was written over 200 years ago, the public is more up to speed with politics and has the right for their opinions to matter.
