The electoral college gets in the way of true democracy. In future presidential election, presidents should be chosen through the popular vote. Having a candidate take all votes in the state is unfair for other candidates. Why would someone vote Democrat in a red state, or Republican in a blue state, when it most likely will mean nothing? It's like a drop of oil in an ocean, it won't mean anything in the grand scheme of things. If a state favors a certain candidate, that candidate should be allowed to win all the votes that state gave them. Though the other candidate[s], even if not the candidate the state favored, should still keep their votes. It is a disgrace that a country "for the people" let's candidates be picked in a way that doesn't represent every citizen who has voted.
