Abolish the electoral college in its entirety.

Created by B.C. on November 17, 2012

Whereas we the people in order to form a more perfect union desire to elect a candidate based on popular vote. We wish to declare the electoral college as unconstitutional. The electoral college is an antiquated system of counting the votes of each state and does not represent the popular vote. Each state would elect a presidential candidate based solely on popular vote. Allowing each state to establish a procedure to verify the popular vote by insuring that only registered voters be allowed to elect a candidate. Thus eliminating instances where the votes collected exceed the number of registered voters. Allowing for re-count or run-off elections in the instance of voter descrepancies and/or equipment malfunction.
