The United States of America is a country prides and envisions itself as the poster-child of democracy, civility and innovation, how ever we elect the POTUS through an out-dated 200 year old system which was designed as a compromise for the lack of communication and transportation technologies of the 18th century.
In the modern era, we have the technological means to form a complete census of the population, how-ever the electoral college now only exists to undermine public opinion.
