This petition is important to prevent a repeat of the 2016 type of infamous election frougth with foreign interference and election of an unpopular candidate. To avoid a situation where the candidate with a popular vote ends up loosing the election while the candidate with unpopular vote wins. Democracy is about number, and majority carries the vote.The candidate with the popular vote in a nation with a free and fair election process wins the election. Each vote counts. A situation where the candidate with the most per head count ends up loosing the election is an act of injustice. Such election process calls for questioning and overhauling. The electoral college system is outdated in a changing world and should be obsoleted.
