abolish the electoral College system and replace it with a system that would allow leaders to be elected by popular vote

The electoral college system is outdated and should be replaced with a popular vote system. This would allow for the people to have more of a voice in how thier leaders are elected. It would also clear up the differences between popular vote and electoral college vote that have led to un-needed arguments. Over the years the two main parties (Republican and Democrat) have become stale and need more competition to change and grow. Allowing for popular vote to decide our leaders would provide for third party candidates to be elected and would bring more of a balance of power to our government.
