It's time to abolish the electoral college. For those of you not familiar with it, it's part of our presidential election process that in 48 of our 50 states takes the majority of the popular vote in that state and turn them into an "all or nothing" representation for that state to elect our president. This is an outdated process and needs to be abolished. This diminishes the vote of the individual and in states with strong "leanings" towards a single political party, excludes others from their voting voices to be heard. This system also mis-balances/favors smaller states, and because of "winner take all", reduces the election to a few "Swing Vote" states, where candidates put all their focus and virtually ignore the rest of us.
