Our founding fathers had a good idea for the times back then. There was no good or efficient communication and/or transportation in the late 1800’s. We the United States need to change its voting ways from electoral to direct. The times have changed, although I like what Abraham Lincoln said in the Gettysburg Address “that we highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain – that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom --and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not parish from earth.” Our freedom is slowly perishing thanks to big government. Please support this petition to abolish Electoral College voting system.
