In recent years it has been apparent that personal agenda and special interests have steered this country into a direction not governed by the people. Because of the current political system being governed by the Electoral College, many voters do not vote and are discourage because of demographics involving communities and states. The Electoral College is antiquated and has no other use except allowing politicians to lobby in concentrated areas to steer public opinion. I cordially request President Obama to formally seek having the Electoral College abolished and let the people have their voices heard by popular vote.
