A disabled American can only state on an employment application that they are disabled if they are "certified disabled" by a government agency. To be "certified disabled" your household income cannot be over $70,000 per year. I am disabled and unemployed. I cannot put I am disabled on a federal job application because my household income from my spouse is over $70,000 per year. I had a traumatic brain injury. I provided four pages of medical documentation and was told at unemployment that I am not "certified disabled" and that no one can help me with employment assistance because I cannot be "certified disabled" due to the fact my husband earns over $70,000 per year. I contacted my Congressman, Mr. Runyon. They have never offered me any answeres to my concern. This law is unfair.
