abolish the entities of Bosnia-Herzegovina that were created by ethnic cleansing and deny minority rights.

Created by E.M. on February 21, 2013

The Dayton Agreement's goal of halting the war was achieved, but it established two entities based on borders largely accomplished through ethnic cleansing. These entities and the governments at both entity and national levels do not abide by the basic principles of international law and the secular concept of national citizenship. Minorities in each entity and at the national level lack proper representation and the ability to hold the highest offices due to Dayton. The name of one of the entities, Republika Srpska, denotes it is solely a Serbian entity. US sponsored peace agreements should promote American values of true democracy and human rights, so the Obama administration should draft a new agreement that represents those values and gives lasting peace to Bosnia-Herzegovina.
