The economic model of the United States does not work for the benefit of the working people. The capitalist system of production for profit, rather than for the satisfaction of human needs, is irrational, unscientific, and contrary to the principles of liberty in that it enables a minority of society to have dictatorial powers over the majority through contracts of employment on threat of deprivation.
We petition for the abolition of private ownership of the means with which people labor and produce wealth and that these means and administrative institutions be brought into public, social ownership by the people as a whole, and for the initiation of rational and scientific economic plans of development which enrich the people and reward the merits of labor rather than status of class.
