Abolish Family Litigation in US

Family litigation is an unnecessary/outdated method of resolving family disputes. Certain forms of such litigation, e.g. child custody litigation, is widespread and is known to be very harmful to children and parents impacted, is a leading cause of homicide and suicide in the US, is a financial and emotional drain on families, and is a drain on the US economy and a threat to the health, safety, and emotional/financial well-being of millions of Americans. Australia and Great Britain passed sweeping reforms recently, largely replacing family litigation (family war) with non-adversarial methods of dispute resolution; e.g., largely abolishing child custody litigation and replacing it with equal rights for biological parents and a process centered around inter-parent/family/school mediation.
