Abolish the FDA and Stop Anti-Whistle-Blowing Threats of Pharmaceutical and Agricultural Companies

The FDA, many of whose officials either worked for or will work for large pharmaceutical and agricultural corporations, continues to threaten to impede scientific progress with regards to public health, and strip us of our rights to decide for ourselves what substances we consume. The power of the FDA should be limited to regulate only those substances proven to cause serious harm, and not to require testing of any substances, unless serious harm is previously proven, No FDA officials should be allowed to accept money or employment with companies that the FDA regulates at any time. All contracts barring scientists from independent investigations of products must be rendered null and void. As a case in point, Monsanto requires such contracts for obvious reasons.
