Abolish the Federal minimum wage and replace it with regional living wages based on the prevailing local wages.

Created by R.R. on December 06, 2012

We are now living under the assumption that only one average minimum wage as determined by congress is needed to provide fairness to all workers in all regions of America. Changing this to a more flexible regional living wage based on the average family needs for large urban and rural areas that drive our economy will help ease systemic poverty often rooted in the homogeneous minimum wages we impose on all Americans equally despite the regional cost of living differences experienced by those living in high cost American regions such as New York or California. Cost of living regional increase that are monitored and adjusted annually will help stem the rate of poverty among our work force.
