Prior to the creation of the Federal Reserve the US Government was responsible for the printing of all currency within the United States. For those that are not aware, the Federal Reserve is no more federal than Federal Express. The FED is a conglomeration of private banks and nothing more. They print the money and our government must borrow money from them and they make hundreds of billions of dollars per year doing so. Abolish the Federal Reserve and instaid of paying interest on borrowed money, return the Gold Standard and return the printing of money to the government. Instaind of paying hundreds of billions in interest, use that money to make the improvements in America that are required to rebuilding our economy.
