Abolish the Federal Reserve System

Created by D.B. on January 17, 2013

The Federal Reserve should be abolished simply because it inflates the money supply, neglects the purchase power of our currency.
During the past twenty-five years, it failed to protect the country against reckless banking. Back in 1910, prior to the passage of the Federal Reserve Act, the national debt was only about $2.6 billion. By going to a system of debt-free money, the U.S. government would never have to borrow a single dollar ever again. If we nationalize the Federal Reserve, we could eventually get rid of the entire national debt.
Under our current system, the U.S. national debt will never be paid off. We are 15 trillion dollars in debt, and at this time we add more than a trillion dollars to that number every year.
