Abolish The Felony Murder Law. States are locking up our youths under this law.

Jose Quiroz (16), Blake Layman (16), Anthony Sharp (18) and Danzele Johnson (21) broke into the house. Levi Sparks (17) waited on the porch of the house across the street. These 4 boys engaged in a crime, the crime was breaking and entering. During the course of their crime one of their accomplices, Dan Johnson, was killed by the owner of the home they unlawfully entered. They were charged as adults and additionally charged with murder under the felony murder law, which is unspecific and has not traditionally been used against defendants when their accomplice was killed during the felony crime. This law was meant to be used in cases where a victim was killed during the commission of a felony crime,not when an offender is killed during the commission of a felony. These boys were unarmed
