I petition the President to Publicly speak out against the Filibuster which has been very destructive of American Democracy. I also petition the President of the US to refuse to send any government business to the Senate whatsoever when important legislation is being blocked.
The Filibuster in the Senate has stifled democracy and defeated majority rule contrary both to the wishes of the founders and the functioning of the U.S. government, For example in the last session 79 measures which were approved by the majority did not pass because Cloture Votes were defeated. Minorities should not be allowed to ride roughshod of majority rule in the Senate, The cost of Filibusters should be the cessation of Senate Legislative activity.
