Our goal is to unify all Americans, regardless of race, by removing the inequalities that cause division among Americans. The abolishment of Black History Month should coincide with the removal of the Confederate Flag from government property. These subjects provide a divisive barrier between the two largest races in the United States of America. Though these subjects are instrumental in the teaching of American History, keeping one while removing the other can only further partition the races. We respectfully ask for Black History Month to be dissolved in the interest of promoting equality and fairness.
