Abolish Government Provided Pensions and Tenure system to Adopt IRA's for Government Employees

Created by T.J. on June 25, 2013

The United States Constitution and all included Amendments do not grant Government employees a right to a pension for performing a public service of holding a Governmental position. Additionally, the legislatures that drafted and approved these bills also granted themselves short tenures to qualify for these Government pensions. There is zero justification for any Government employee to not only receive a pension for serving the public, but then to be able to obtain a pension for only serving one term.

The simple solution is to first abolish the bills put into place by the politicians giving themselves tax payer dollars. Enact a simple IRA for Government employees whereby the Government matches the first 3% the employee contributes. This is in line with the private sector.
