Abolish the Gramm Leach Bliley Act which questionably passed in 1999 and gave Financial Sector components unobstructed power. Banks need to be attentive to the Public, not investment casinos that play dangerous games that require bailing when they fail. In separating these components, credit is to be spun off as a free-standing component that is independent with specific oversight and regulation. It is essential that credit processes function with integrity and assurances that first protect the nation from calamity. A mechanism for funding credit will be analyzed and initiated with full regard to all we have learned from the other financial components. A modernized version of the Glass Steagall Act should immediately replace the Gramm Leach Bliley Act with separation occurring forthwith.
