The time to end the H1B visa program is now. Unfortunately the House and Senate with some exceptions kowtow to their Big Business sponsors who proclaim a shortage of American workers. There is no shortage as proven by several studies such as by Professor Ron Hira and as proven by declining or stagnant wages. The big corps want CHEAP labor and they want to use imported H1B workers to aid in the off shoring of US jobs to India. Why aren't Americans studying for STEM degrees? well, why bother when at the end of it there are no jobs for Americans. Why get into 80K debt for a 4 year degree when the jobs are going to barely trained H1Bs. And yes most of these jobs are very basic. There is just no excuse for this program..
