Abolishing the insanity defense in Colorado is what we are seeking. Taking away innocent lives and then using the insanity plea to get out of jail free is unconstitutional. Having a crime go unpunished is not only unfair, but also unsatisfactory for the people that suffered from it and for their families. It is about time that the criminals take responsibility for their action, insane or not. When gruesome actions are done and go unpunished, it contradicts the United States highest ideology of protecting the people.
