I petition the US Government to abolish the IRS all together and to replace all Federal taxes (including corporate taxes and inheritance taxes) with a 14% consumption tax. Not only would the government be able to collect a fair rate of taxes from all of its citizens and residents, but industry and other businesses that have moved offshore, would come flocking back to the US. This would create jobs which would subsequently vastly improve our economy and cure unemployment.
I also firmly believe that not only would the government save money by abolishing the IRS, but they would collect far more revenue then they are currently able to collect.
