Abolish the IRS and income taxes. States can collect a national sales tax and send the money to the Treasury Department. Never again will you have to worry about filing taxes, audits, penalties and interest for not paying on time. Everyone, including illegal aliens, hookers, and drug dealers will pay their fair share of taxes. The wealthy will pay more in taxes because they buy more things. Things won't cost more because the hidden income tax rate of up to 30% will be replaced with a much lower national sales tax (probably 10%) which could actually lower prices and/or improve corporate profits, which will create more jobs. There are no benefits of an income tax which can't be provided by having a national sales tax. Plus, we get to eliminate a very costly and unpopular bureaucracy.
