Currently, Members of Congress and the President are treated differently from millions of other Federal Employees because they are paid through mandatory spending required by law (2 U.S.C. 31 and 3 U.S.C 102) rather than through the annual appropriations process.
Congress, Senate and President should have to pull twenty years and participate in the Thrift Savings plan like they force on the military and Federal Employees, they are Federal employees and should not be able to create a separate pay system for themselves because they create the laws. If the government pay system gets shut off and retirees and vets do not get a paycheck they should not get one either.
