abolish the OPM from using applicant's credit report/score to get a federal job if an applicant is otherwise qualified.

Created by G.W. on September 26, 2011

Fairness in federal hiring. I am a former federal employee. Due to threatening and intimidating work environment, I had to resign. Since I resigned my credit score has taken a hit and now I am no longer eligible for a federal position because of my low credit score. I am sure there are others in my same situation. I keep applying for federal positions that I am well qualified for, but OPM will not refer my application to any hiring agency. OPM should not be permitted to use an applicant's credit report/score to bar employment. I believe this is the only reason I cannot return to federal employment. I am a minority and a honorably discharged veteran.
