The Veteran Administration Fugitive Felon law is all encompassing. A Veteran is denied their Service Connected Disability and Medical benefits if there is an outstanding legal issue,many times without their knowledge. If the VA finds an outstanding legal matter on a Veteran they are automatically considered fleeing "to avoid prosecution,confinement or probation''. This has an impact on a Veteran's ability to be treated at a VA medical facility or to receive Disability payments for wounds or trauma incurred during his/her service. And any payments received while their legal matter is unresolved is discontinued,and an overpayment judgement by the Va is incurred. In effect even if the Veteran resolves the legal matter,they are penalized by having to repay the Va their disability payments..
