abolish or change The Healthy Kids Act that has changed the amount and kinds of food our children eat in schools.

Created by M.H. on November 12, 2012

As a parent I feel that it is my responsibility to deal with the health and welfare of my child(ren). I do not feel that changing the way all children are fed, while attending school, to deal with childhood obesity and other health problems is a proper way to deal with the issues this bill was supposed to alleviate.

My children have been in school for at least 7 years now. They have always eaten a school lunch while they were there. They and many other children like them are not obese or suffering from any other health issues. Instead, they come home screaming they are hungry. I have seen a drop in their grades and their energy levels when they come home, and they have said they have a hard time concentrating in class because they are hungry.
