The filibuster allows the minority parties to gain unfair control in the Senate, even when a bill has passed the majority of the body as we saw during the healthcare reform debate.
The result?
The House passes a SUPERIOR bill which included THE PUBLIC OPTION! The Senate's version, which becomes law, becomes too "watered down."
Abolishing (or reforming) the filibuster will allow fairness and progress in the Senate and ultimately the nation.
