The party system on which our legislative and executive branches run only serves to divide the government and the people. While one party holds the White House, the other does everything it can to undermine the President, so that any setbacks can be blamed on the President and his party, and the opposition can set themselves up for the next election. The party system also divides the populace. Citizens who support opposing sides blame each other for destroying the nation with their ideology. We must find a way to eliminate this system and devise on that unites, rather than divides, our nation.
