We the people of the United States of America feel that in today's economic position it is fundamental to stop the minting of new pennies. In 2011, the reported price to mint the penny is at 2.4 cents, and the US wasted $70 million on printing them in that single year. The penny is devastating to the US economy because of the money it wastes, and it has become a waste of time to even handle them. This cause will also help control inflation to a certain extent.
