A single penny costs 1.8 cents to make, they slow down cash exchanges, and on their own can't buy anything, coinstar is the only machine that takes pennies besides coin presses, it's a waste of federal money to produce them, and the US should convert to rounding prices to the nearest 5 cents, as the military does overseas and several countries do
