The penny cost more to make then it is worth. Military installations in other countries have already gotten rid of the penny. The amount that they ship is a ridiculous weight. This then makes it were the environment is suffering because of pollution. It would also be beneficial to get rid of the nickel as well as the dime. I honestly believe that we should automatically add sales tax into the price of products and round to the 25 cents. The government could collect all the coins metal them down and sell the metal to other countries as well as use the metal to build things. In the end it will help the economy get out of $16 trillion of debt.
