In1953 Congress approved a resolution to add the words, "under God," to the Pledge of Allegiance. In 1789 the United States Constitution expressly stated that, "Congress shall make "no law!!" respecting an establishment of religion," but congress violated that law in 1953.
The Pledge of Allegiance also includes the words, flag, the United States of America, republic, one Nation indivisible and liberty and justice for all. Those words are national iconic symbols of what America is, and we know what America is through the Constitution.
This is not an anti religious petition, it's a pro constitutional petition to promote the true meaning of the First Amendment,
