Abolish the post office

Why do people need the postal service anymore? They don't. People everyday send e-mails instead of letters to save trees and time. Bills these days are all done online and even when people ship packages they use companies such as UPS and FedEx. The government is wasting money on the failing post office instead of investing in debt reduction. Why does there have to be a big deal on spending cuts when all the government has to do is abolish the post office. Papers that need to be mailed or packages would just be sent through the leading commercial companies. The government is losing money on the post office fast and needs to get rid of it before more drastic measures are taken involving spending cuts.
