“Executive orders” do NOT give a president the power to make laws, just because HE says so. They are only meant to "clarify" or "act to further a law put forth by the CONGRESS or the CONSTITUTION". They do NOT grant a president the powers of a dictator, yet they have been used repeatedly to circumvent the Constitution, and also to destroy it.
The repeated, major abuses of executive order powers clearly illustrate that we cannot trust our presidents to abide by their oaths to SUPPORT the Constitution. The fact that congress members allow these abuses shows their violation of those same oaths. Thus, it is clearly time to eliminate “executive order” powers now, before they are used to destroy the Second Amendment, which would forever change our democratic republic into a full dictatorship.
